Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop March 2019

Hello, my name is Frances Wagner of  WagStamps, welcome to March Home Decor SU Blog Hop.  I love making home decor items with my stamps, ink and paper. This is my project for this month and be sure to check out the others creative ideas.

Our theme this month is Spring and Easter, and I decided on Carrots and Rabbits cut from Strips of cardstock and gingham DSP and whimsical fun rabbits in Fabled Friends-

A few years ago I made these rabbits and carrots using 12x12 paper and I knew the Gingham 6x6 could work too I just had to adjust my measurements to a smaller product.

This is the beginning of the carrots strips of Grapfruit Grove card stock fold on one end and staple at the other and add some Lemon Lime Twist Gingham for the carrot top.  I cut down close to the base to make it look more like carrot tops. The Grapefruit Grove strip measures 11x1.50

For the bunny I used same technique but stapled at the bottom and caught the ear strips in the top staple as I folded over.

Yes, we are back to my table again.  That is a place you see when you first come into my house so perfect place.  I love the jar lamp that I fill all the time but just recently I threw away my aqua painted plastic eggs there were looking pretty shabby and not so chic!   Now I wish I had bought some more to add to the inside base.  I usually paint the plastic Easter eggs from the store aqua and splatter brown speckles on them and they are cute (I will share with you when I do that again soon)

I found some pink tissue paper to add to give some color and depth.  I like it.  What do you think?

I added the blue eggs in a nest to complete the spring look.  Plus we always gather in the spring so I thought the Gather sign would work too.  Don't you love this tag, and that polka dot ribbon is perfect.

 Another view a little closer.

Here you can see the bunnies I stamped some on Whisper White Card stock and some on Crumb cake Card stock and stamped again on gingham and cut it out as well as stamped his hands again and pieced it all together.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you check out the rest of the Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop!
