Do you ever  do something and it works out not as good as you thought and in the end it was better than you even dreamed?  I wanted to make a flyer for my upcoming Spring/Easter Stamp Camp and when using the grass in the Basket Builder Framelits set.  I folded the Old Olive card stock so that it would not cut through and it would just continue as a row of grass for the bottom of my flyer. However when I unfolded it it broke off and looked really messy. I was really upset until I notice the negative part of it was in great shape.  So I went with it and this is my end results.

This past week I have needed several sympathy cards and I was inspired by the magazine "Stampin Success" that demonstrators receive every quarter.  The samples were not sympathy cards but
that was my jumping off point.

I loved using the SAB FREE DSP (designer paper) Inside the Lines- which is perfect for those of you that are loving the new  coloring in craze that is so popular now. Who doesn't like to color? It just brings back those wonderful childhood memories for us. You can use our Many Marvelous Markers in all of our colors or you can use our new Watercolor Pencils that is in the new occasions catalog.  Just use our blender pens or aqua painters that has water in the barrel or a small bristled paint brush with a little water.

However on my sympathy cards I did not color in, I only stamped and used the Dragonfly Dreams  bundle to stamp and cut out the dragonflies.  It is one of my favorite sets.

Calendar Cards - Stamp Club cards -

January was calendar month. Everywhere you look you have new calendars. These happened to be from 2016 left over from a friends office (they were going into the recycle bin and she asked me if I wanted them)  Of course I did.  On the front page of calendars where the picture is quiet large, that is the part I used for the envelope.  I cut out the small image on the back of the calendar that is a miniature of the large page where the calendar is.

I know these are two different birds but the colors match wonderfully and they are both tropical so I went for it.  I just stamped the Flamingo several times and cut one on a different piece of card stock and fussy cut it but use the legs of the one I stamped on the large white piece of card stock. I knew I would not be able to cut those skinny legs from the flamingo. :)

The calendar piece is a Roseate spoonbill and the stamp is a Flamingo from our Pop of Paradise stamp set on page 85 of the annual catalog.

Stylish Stems Framelits Dies make this card adorable. I found it on Pinterest from (Janice Urke) but changed the sentiment since I did not get the bundle and didn't have the stamp.  My stamp club girls loved it.

Another fun stamp set Cool Treats~ This one reminds me of my childhood when the ice cream truck ("Mr. Softie") came in our neighborhood in the summer. We all had our favorite flavors and the dream sickle was one of mine. It looks perfect using the In Color Peekaboo  Peach ink pad and matching ribbon and card stock. I added a little wink of Stella to make it sparkle.

Project Life ~ Floral Phrases

I am in a project life swap and I was working on some ideas.  I love this set using Night of Navy card stock.  It looks so crisp and sharp looking.  What have you done with all those photos in a shoe box in the bottom of your closet?  You know I am talking about you!  The reason I know, I am only 42 years behind so this Project Life System works great for me.  I just add photos and some journaling to these pockets and finished in no time.


I used the Floral Phrases Stamp Set along with the Floral Boutique  Designer Paper and the Detailed Thinlits Dies that all coordinate.

The story behind our theme- Karen was helping her mom store her Christmas decorations and one of the items was a beautiful carousel.  We were able to get our Occasions catalog in December and she knew there was a set called Carousel Birthday and knew that would work for our theme. I love what she did.

Wedding Bells are ringing!

Recently my friend Jessica Swanson from my church showed me her engagement ring and we started talking wedding.  I showed her the beautiful stamp set Floral Phrases and the Detailed Floral framelits on page 77 of the annual catalog.  She loved it immediately and we started planning.

Jessica started with printing the invitation part and this was a work day cutting cardstock and the Details Floral framlits.  Her colors are Night of Navy and White and they are so beautiful.











Jessica liked using the Big Shot.  Who doesn't right?  I use it almost every time I stamp.

Below is her finished product.  The actual invitation is under the night of navy piece.
