Giving Thanks - NC October Blog Hop
Giving Thanks & Stampin' Bingo
Each month I try to participate in the NC Stampin' UP! Demo Blog hop. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I don't make the deadline. So for October I do have something I want to share with you especially since the theme this month is Giving Thanks. (Being Grateful for what we have) I am thankful for this little Stampin' UP! business that has brought so much joy to me as well as great friends over the 17 years I have been a demonstrator.
I am working on class projects for upcoming events. I will offer cute packaging for bags, tags, boxes and framed projects, gifts etc. I will post again later when I finish everything so you can check out all the fun things you can make. Check back again for more project ideas and to register for my class coming soon.
Sometimes we think about cute packaging for Christmas but I think a small hostess gift for taking to Thanksgiving dinner would be fun. I always like the packaging to be fabulous. I got the basis idea from Erica Cerwin she was using leaves on a smaller package. I just changed it up a bit with the patterned paper and the used on a gift bag etc. Check back later to see what else I have come up with.
Stampin' Bingo-
Do you like to play bingo? Who doesn't right. I used to play it as a child and still do. Join me on Facebook each Tuesday night at 8pm Eastern Standard Time to play occasionally or every week. Contact me and I will add you to the group. Each Tuesday night at 8pm you will post to the group 5 numbers from 1-50. I start calling numbers at 8:10 and the first person to get all of their 5 numbers called, post bingo. Each week I make something for the prize cards, tags etc. I will send the winner the prize during that week. Last week I made tags using various stamp sets and the October Paper Pumpkin stamp set. Contact me to be added. I also send out the specials and upcoming events. Congratulations Donna Devers, our winner last week. This Stampin Bingo is for USA participants only.
See you on Tuesday at 8pm - Contact me https://www.facebook.com/WagStamps/
Don't forget to check out the rest of the blog hop.

Use what you bought class!!!
In the past I have heard my friends say I just don't use what I have already bought from you. So I started thinking how can I help them use those stamps. I started scheduling a use what you bought class. This is typically a small class so I can get around to everyone and help them with what they are interested in. I always get them to tell me in advance what set they want to use and I do some research and show them new ideas.
Thursday we met and had so much fun. Below is Penny, Joann and Tina are working on cards.
Below is Debbie and Kellie working on some project life ideas.
We will be meeting on a regular basis to play together. If you live in the area and want to play contact me.

Project Life Class - Tues 10/18
Several of you have asked for help with scrapbooking and especially the Stampin'UP! Project Life products. I love using Project Life, it is quick and easy my style for sure.
It's hard to photograph the pocket pages because of the glare from the plastic. I think this shows the project better. This is my sweet grandson Jacob and I baking Christmas cookies when he was little so you can see I am far behind since he is 16 years old. HA! I need to have the class more than anyone else. :)
Sign up today for the class on Tues 10-18 from 1pm-3pm at my place. Bring your scissors, paper cutter if you have one and your favorite adhesive and of course those photos.
Email or call me to register.

Vacation Fun- Class of '66 Reunion and Fall Card Class.
Last month we went to my 50th high school class reunion in Newport News, VA. Yikes where did those years go?
When I lived in Raleigh, NC I reconnected with 3 other Newport News High School grads and we would go to dinner once a month and other activities so I had to give them a little gift. I didn't think of this till I was on the road and I was at my mama's house (I asked her if she had any wrapping paper that wasn't birthday or Christmas and she said no. We found lunch bags and ribbon but she didn't have a hole punch to put the ribbon through but she came up with the idea of using an ice pick. Now every country woman has an ice pick right. She amazes me. (the RGNO stands for Raleigh Girls Night Out)
Below is a picture of my sweet husband Rich on our Friday night event at the reunion. I sort of feel sorry for the spouses that didn't go to school with everyone else. Rich was a good sport to be there with me.
Last week I had this class scheduled and since Hurricane Mathew decided to visit us I had to cancel and reschedule for this Thursday. Let me know if you can come.
First stop of our trip was Santee, SC and this was a fun bar-b-que place we went to.
Next stop was Asheville, NC to visit our son Eric and his wife Chrissy. They have been going to Escape Rooms and telling us what a good time they have been having so of course we had to go too. We had 13 minutes to spare. Cool place you have to solve puzzles and get the right combinations etc to get out within one hour. Did you notice the shirt Eric is wearing? My friend Karen made that for him. I gave her the words but didn't have the correct vinyl to use on fabric. He liked it. :) Thank you Karen.
This was another fun spot The Sierra Nevada Brewery. I love being with the kids.
Moving on we went to visit my Mom in Tyner, NC and this is the view of the Chowan River down the road from her house.,
Mom and I went for a golf cart ride and found some wild grapes. Does that look like two peas in a pod or what. Love that woman.
I was asked to take a door prize to my class reunion. So I made some cards and my friend and team mate Karen helped me make the cup and the cutting board. I used our school colors and I think it was a cute prize.

These are a few of the 10 projects some were cased (yes I am addicted to Pinterest) and some were original projects. This cute project was cased from Handmade by Nadine.
