Baby Card

Recently I needed a baby gift and wanted to make a card to match.    I found a cute outfit with a bib that had a monkey on it and I knew I wanted to make a paper piecing monkey card to go with the bib.

So this is what I came up with. The outfit had blue stars on it so I used the stars in the Perfect Pennants set and Welcome Baby from the Petite Pairs set. Various punches and the Gingham wheel for the ears. Owl punch for the heart. The spiral flower for the tail (cut a little to make the shape better)!  I hope they like it.

Scrapbooking!!!

I have been a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator since 1999 so 15  years in August!  I have never been consistent with scrap-booking and when cleaning out some drawers and closets last week I came across this old scrapbook.

Inside: NOTE I should have taken a picture before I took the pictures out but I am sure you may have seen this or your mother had a scrapbook like this.  No journaling nothing but pictures.

My friend June invited me over to scrap on her day off and I decided I to start with this book and remake the pages.  Below was a page I remade and it was the saddest day of my life. My sweetie was deploying to an around the world cruise for 9 months. 

I added that Small Heart Punch because there was a spot on the photo and I liked the picture and didn't want to pitch it.  The miss you already came from the Just Saying stamp set The banner at the bottom was made using the free Banner Punch from the Sale-a-bration catalog and on the circle punch I added the year from the Show and Tell photopolymer set. 

I will continue on this journey to sort my 45 years of family photos and let the scrapping begin.

For My Valentine ♥

Gift box idea:
I found some sugar free candy for my sweetie last week and filled one of our boxes.  I used some of the sweater yarn trim from my free $300 box of goodies for booking a party in December. By the way it is on the clearance rack here for $3.59.  Yeah! That is one of the perks you get when you are a demonstrator.  Let me know if you have any questions about joining my team.

Below if you look at the bottom you will find the love ticket that I got in a kit a few years ago and I always forget to use it so finally I was able to make it work on something for my sweet husband.

Sassy Stamper Club project:
This is one of the cards my Sassy Stamper Club made last week.  I asked them to name themselves and I told them of the different names I had for clubs in the past and the loved Sassy Stampers.  I called Karel and asked her if we could be the Florida division of The Sassy Stampers Club.  I worked with Karel in Garner for a Sassy Stamper Meetup Group in a coffee shop where we stamped and played Stamping Bunco. What fun times we had.

This is a cute way to use that new Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  Did you notice where I used the Fringe Scissors ?  What a fun tool to make flowers, add a little fringe to something and great for making grass.


Speaking of grass yes I have another dog card to show you.

It is a slider card when you tilt the card the dog will move down the card.  So cute and don't you love the grass.  For the clouds I used the Cupcake punch.  I think this Cool Kid set is growing on me.

Saturday my friend June and I went to an antique show and had a great time. 

We came across these springs and we had to have them. Not sure why but we liked them.  

 We do not know what we are going to do with them either so if you one of your creative muse's have a great idea drop me an email and let me know what you come up with.

So far this is what I have done with it and i am thinking about attaching cards or cute tags.  Still trying to figure it out.
