Aqua Rocks........ ie Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay etc.
Colors in the aqua family have been my favorites for a few years now and I am really obsessed with it using our new colors, plus living in a tropical area. I have been painting a lot lately, things like garden benches, flower pot holders, table for my stamp studio/guest room. Next week I will start on my convention swaps but till then I wanted to share with you some pics of what I have been doing. This little fence is going on the wall of my powder room. In case you can't read it "To the Beach". I used the Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set for the words and the Petite Pennant Banner punch, 1 inch circle punch and the yellow gingham washi tape for the flags on the ends. I glued a few seashells I picked up on the beach recently. Of course it is late at night when I finished it and I can't hammer nails in the wall but it will go up first thing tomorrow. :) You know how we do our best work late at night?
This is the table I purchased at a yard sale a few weeks ago, I had to get rid of my beloved drop leaf table, it just did not work in my space. So I drug this beat up greenish table home with ugly wooden brown legs! This is the before!
Next I bought some white paint and went to town. I painted the knobs aqua I don't think you can see them too well in this picture. The whole table is white (the chair is reflecting the aqua on the front).
This is the after!
My friend June donated the aqua chair to the cause. I love, love, love this table in front of the window. Below I have a beautiful view of the courtyard. But I am ahead of myself, first I want to show you the courtyard when we first looked at the condo.
Sorry about the screen being in the way, but you get the picture, ugly. Then the day we moved in this is what it looked like.
So much better! Now below is the view from my table/desk!
You can see my bench I painted and some of the pieces on the fence and the flowers we have added. It makes me happy to look out and create at that table! I consider it a blessing!
This is dessert at our first dinner party. I made eclair cake and put it in small canning jars and tied some jute around the jar and added a spoon under the bow. Then I made paper flowers using our blossom punch. Everyone liked the eclair cake and our guest took a picture of the presentation. So glad they liked it.
I still have a few more boxes but at least I can walk in my room now without falling on a box. :)
Have a wonderful week!
Blessings!
